Default do you change your oil every 3000 miles ?

I'm sure you have heard a few times in your life you should always keep your oil and other fluids replaced regularly. How many keep up on it ? I will admit from time to time I get behind and only change the oil every 5 thousand miles or so. How about yourself ?

The 3,000 miles is not a relevant guideline for cars made in the last decade or two. I think there's pretty universal agreement that 5,000 is more than fine, although dealerships and lube shops are still quite happy to change it every 3k for you.

i run a small fleet of vehicles and we only change the oil when the service is due. Which is typically once a year or 12000 miles, which ever comes first. most the vehicles are not over 4 years old though.

I love my car because it only needs to get serviced every 9,320 miles (15,000 kms). I service my car regularly and always on time. My last car was so unreliable, so I'm trying to take care of this one lol

And with some oils you can go more, like 7,500-10k.

I'm just gonna be honest... I only remember to change the oil when my engine blows.
Even if you fall on your face, you're still moving forward.

Newer cars just tell you when to do it, seems to be around 5,000ish on ours.
