Default Ron Paul can and will win Republican Nomination

Alright so I put the will in there to draw some attention this thread. However the point here is he ABSOLUTELY CAN WIN THE NOMINATION!!! The media has done everything to write this guy off as non electable, he was given 90 SECOND PER HOUR in debate (2.5% of the time allotted for all candidates, treated as fringe candidate). They're now saying he tops off at 22-25% support. Bull shit! If they were expecting him to exceed 20% and were acting fairly he'd of had MUCH more time during the debates. The media does not want him to win because the media is owned by people who rub shoulders with global bankers, elite, who make all sorts of money off war, drugs, bailouts etc, and Romney is their main guy, Ron Paul is huge threat to them.

First off: Forbes reporting a poll in New Hampshire as Romney 38% Paul 24% Santorum 11%. This is like going to be a 2 dog race soon and a lot of America is not even aware of Ron Paul's existence yet. How are they going to write off his campaign now? Despite people saying he was high single digits at best and getting unfairly ignored in debates and media he has surged and is now sitting as a top tier candidate and the world's never heard of him.

I figured I'd let everyone who thought a Ron Paul vote might be wasted, that Ron Paul is a legit candidate who ABSOLUTELY CAN WIN THE NOMINATION!!! I also want to congratulate all his supporters on the AWESOME Job so many did bringing this to where it is now. We have chance here guys, we seriously do! There's no media or anyone else to credit for that. No bankers, no wall street, no lobbyist, no help from the media. It's only Americans who value life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness, who are tired of big government mingling in their affairs, senseless wars and senseless spending that want to take back what was stolen, who put us back in the position to have a chance. And we do have that chance. Tell a friend, donate (ronpaul2012.com) post something on facebook, click a like, whatever.. keep on keeping doing something because RON PAUL ABSOLUTELY CAN WIN THE NOMINATION!!! That news alone makes it a good day.

he has maxed out his support from a fringe element of the party; he is absolutely no one else's #2 (or #3) choice, so there is simply no where else to draw votes from.

But hey, he's doing great drawing support from the David Duke wing of the party with his nice little racist and anti-semitic background.

I am the furthest thing from racist and you are a total clown if you interpret any of that as racist. People will reach at anything to paint it as racist if it will help their case. Just like everyone who didn't vote for Obama was racist. Get real, racist is saying that you dislike a race as a whole or using derogatory terms etc. He did none of that.

And no, Paul has nowhere near the maximum support he can get. He never got the exposure needed until very recently and look how quickly things changed for him. You are so off base and I would bet against him not improving his position in a heartbeat. Provide a metric for this bet and I will take it.

Paul would get buried worse than Gingrich if he won a single state.

I do think he will make Romney fight for every state he can, but ... Intrade has him at under 3% for nomination. There is no way he can win unless Santorum gets handed $30m and a massive, in-place organization OR someone like Jeb Bush jumps in tomorrow OR Rick Perry single-handedly saves 20 schoolbuses full of kids from an Iranian kidnapper who turns out to have direct ties to Satan himself.

This past weekend I caught part of an ABC News segment where a reporter was interviewing RP about his newfound resurgence in Iowa. At the end of the interview, the report asks him a pretty pointed question: "When you go to sleep at night, do you really envision yourself as the President of the United States?"

Paul pauses for a second or two and then responds with, "Not really." He went on to talk about how his chances are better now than they've ever been, but that he's a realist...he then made a joke about how it was a risk that he signed up for.

Presidential betting markets are no where close to efficient. A bunch of people cashed +1800 on Obama winning the nomination and I remember following the thread where it was stated he had absolutely no chance, even when reached +400 or so people were saying this, then was +180, then soon enough -127 lol. I have no idea how much vig was in the line at the time but he was a 5.26% implied probability in the early going. Meanwhile as stated how much is the max bet and how much volume is there trading on this on exchanges. Not even close to efficient imo.

you're really going to tell me that this is not a racist statement:

"Given the inefficiencies of what DC laughingly calls the 'criminal justice system,' I think we can safely assume that 95 percent of the black males in that city are semi-criminal or entirely criminal...[W]e are constantly told that it is evil to be afraid of black men, [but] it is hardly irrational. Black men commit murders, rapes, robberies, muggings, and burglaries all out of proportion to their numbers."

and let's not forget some of the lovely comments about gay rights issues:

"Those who don't commit sodomy, who don't get a blood transfusion, and who don't swap needles, are virtually assured of not getting AIDS unless they are deliberately infected by a malicious gay."

Now, I will grant you that it is partially a generational thing and a lot of people his age have views that would be shocking of someone younger. And there are plenty of better reasons not to like the guy....but I find it pretty distrubing that he is the candidate of choice for groups like Stormfront

Stormfront founder: Ron Paul’s views ‘coincide with ours’ on most issues | The Raw Story

As for his chances of being the nominee, I'll happilly get my money in on intrade if he has any noticeable spike as I am completely confident that any surge wouldn't last and he has 0% chance of actually being the nominee.

How is it racist if it is true? If it was Asian or White people, it's the same thing. This is not racist. Calling someone names for no reason other than their skin color is racist. Saying crime is primarily a product of whatever race is not racist, especially if it is factual.
