Taking the girlfriend to our first trip to Paris next month. Anyone been before? Any general tips would be much appreciated! We're staying in the south of the Paris circle on the map. Pretty close to a metro station.
Thanks
Rob

A Paris Guide: A Walk Through Montmartre
Climb the stairs to the top of the Basilica for the best view in Paris (other than from the Eiffel Tower).
If you are into food, don't be afraid to try out of the norm stuff like rabbit, coq au vin, Duck Confit,
Enjoy your trip,
Jason

Hop on Hop off bus tours are everywhere if you want a cheap way to see the city without doing to much walking.
Get the engagement ring ready, she will be expecting itjks lol
Day 1
If you are going to go to the Louvre you can walk from arc de triomphe down the champs d'elysee through the place de concorde, through the jarden du tullerie straight to the louvre and see about 5 big things in Paris. However, that is a decent walk plus all the walking you will do in the Louvre. I can walk forever though so your mileage may vary.
Day 2
The neighborhoods surrounding the Jardens Du Luxembourg are great to get lost in, but this park is a must to chill out in imo. After this hop the metro for the Eiffel Tower at sundown.
Day 3
Pick em Montmarte, Versailles, road trip to Mont St Michel, elsewhere, or Notre Dame plus other stuff.
I stayed in Montparnasse, doesn't matter as the Metro is great there.
