It's one thing to be complaining about random patdowns, it's another to complain about it AFTER FAILING THE METAL DETECTOR. Whether or not it was an error with the machine, you really don't have much ground to stand on to object to it at that point. I really think that's a different issue.

This thread does have a natural way of going way off topic.

Was it the metal detector or body scanner? Did you know that false positives are automatically triggered in the body scanner to provide random searches?

Don't you think someone on the ground should have the authority to clear this guy who OBVIOUSLY did not have any type of contraband on him?

My point isn't whether or not the TSA should exist, I think they do a good job of providing a false sense of security for your average American. My point is that they need to be completely overhauled.

PAL does rank pretty well for a lot of random long term stuff. Although I would love the Feds to show up at my normal Midwest home with a wife & kids and then start discussing "terrorist" stuff about discussions going on in PAL threads, (an internet poker affiliate marketing forum) It would be an interesting discussion to say the least when I invite them in and put on a clinic about who the actual terrorists are, you know their bosses; the 535 people in Washington.

I'd probably get super old school and have the wife brew up some tea or coffee for them while the kids are in the other room watching T.V. F**** them, I am not, and no one on PAL is a terrorist, and I'd be happy to defend that all day long! It would actually be somewhat of a fun experience, although it might get me on yet another secret government list.
