    Default Blackberry versus iPhone.. discuss

Figured a new thread would get more more responses, and I'm interested in this as well. I just purchased a refurbished iphone 8G for $100 w/ 2 year contract yesterday. In 3 months though I'll probably be buying another phone and giving one to my daughter for her Birthday and keeping the other. At least at this time I'll have experience with one or the other.. but i really don't know much about either product and had to decide yesterday between blackberry and iphone.

If you're going to bet US Sports online - I strongly suggest 5Dimes.com or Bookmaker.eu.

I owned a Blackberry Pearl and now have the Storm.

I absolutely love the Storm, albeit it took time to fall in love with because it's so different and took some time to get in the groove with it.

My brother always had a BB World Edition and he switched to the Storm and I thought for sure he wouldn't like it. But to my surprise he actually prefers it over the World Edition.

I heard Jeremy on the radio show saying that he got rid of his in less than a day. I think he should have waited a bit longer and give it a chance.

The Storm does everything, and what I really like about it is that I can read and edit Word documents. It can also do Slide Show to Go and Excel.

I also got the stand charger which pretty much turns the phone into an alarm clock. Pretty cool for traveling.

Never had an iPhone, so can't say much about them. But the apps I see on TV for them do look pretty sweet!

I have the Storm and although I'm not extremely happy w/ it, I'm content w/ it. This was my first blackberry and its super useful to get your emails to your phone and have the internet, but the touch screen aspect is a little disappointing. I can't type nearly as fast as I could on my old Motorola Q.

If I could do it again I'd probably get the Blackberry Bold. Get all the BB features but have the keyboard.

Yeah, the typing takes a bit of time, but eventually you'd get fast at it.

The bold is pretty cool. That might be my next one.

Is the bold the newest Blackberry? I think the touch screen is cool and everything but I'm not sure if I would like it as much as actual buttons.

Thanks for making the thread by the way prop.

Oh yeah, forgot to mention... the Storm does not support Flash! That is the one biggest complaint from me.

No Flash? How stupid is that?

Love my Blackberry Pearl. I'm stuck on Verizon Wireless, which limits the devices that are available to choose from. If I could pick any Blackberry, it'd be the Blackberry Bold. Large screen, full keyboard, etc.

I love the iphone because of the Apps and Safari as the browser. Those two alone make it 1000x's better than the storm.

I havent browsed the internet on the Storm, but unless it plays flash, there is no way its better. Being in the industry we are in, browsing the internet is as important to me as the phone actually being able to call other phones.

I'm personally waiting for this phone:

    HTC - Products - HTC Touch Pro2 - Overview

The resolution will be 480 x 800 px, which will be amazing to web browse. The HTC phones support windows mobile which is a 100 times more customizable than the iphone and you don't have to pay for apps.

What really licks about the iPhone right now is that its still over priced. Especially here in Canada... the price has not dropped $1 buck since it came out.

However, I still feel the iPhone is the best smart phone on the market right now. All new phones will have a tough time matching the iPhone's web browsing.

I'm using an HTC Touch, and its prob an application junkie's dream. Problems with the HTC though is that its still tough to type and still crashes prob more often than other phones (Microsoft).
