I decided to buy when it was first climbing and hit $400 for the very first time. By the time my wallet was open, it was at $1117 and its when I bought it. I sold on the downswing, then bought back low again at about $750, but damn, the swings since the China news has driven me crazy so I dropped out and am patiently waiting another dip. I think that what we're seeing right now in the $600's is a false top and that it will dip further as BTC China continues to liquidate. I'm actually considering flying to China to get physical BTC at the 20-25% reduced price since they can't deposit, they can only withdraw. What would be epic though is is BTC China found a hole in the system to deposit and I had a CNY account. I would buy for sure, transfer it to my US wallet, and make the gap! The risk is that BTC will swing wildly between now and that time, if that time even ever comes, and if I'm lucky enough to be away and monitoring the exchange when a gap opens before the Chinese government closes it up.

Hope you're all having better luck trading BTC than I have been lately!

    Cheers!

I'd be happy to put some $ towards believing that it will go up instead of down. It can literally go either way right now so odds 1:1 max bet $250 per person. Cap it at $2500. Naturally we'd have to make an agreement stating something like 'Between now and 7 days, I believe BTC will dip below x' and then I'll always believe it's going up instead. Why? The fluctuations have been boring lately

If you'd understand bitcoin you'd understand that this 'problem' is not actually a problem. I guess you'll find that out eventually.

Never ever store your bit coins on an exchange. Move only the amount you need to change to there. Keep the rest in electrum or armory

Price should drop further with this news. Hilariously, it just makes want to load up on some more bitcoins.

    +1 on this--

why would anyone be so careless with their bitcoins?
Im sure some people were just unlucky, but I completely agree. Keep your bitcoins somewhere safe-

In the meantime I will take this opportunity to load up some more

It's reminds me of people who kept $$$,$$$ figures on FTP maybe people like to log into an account and see a huge number rather than practice financial prudence and diversify their assets...
