Help from any U.S members

I am going to be in the U.S alot this summer and need to solve my cell phone situation.
I dont want to use my Canadian phone in the U.S.... HUGE BILL
I also want one of those usb plugin devices so I can get high speed internet anywhere where there is signal.

What company offers this?
And has the fastest speed of internet?
for cell phone i dont care about anything fancy just a phone.
I would like to get my sell and wirless internet from the same provider.

I always used Verizon while living in the US. Never had any issues with them or net speed.
