New VP of PAP already in hot water

Trying to catch some new lines for the Open on G911 I ran across something I though was quite interesting. It appears that the new Vice President at CAP (Bob Rains) went out and basically disclosed a link to 20+ copyrighted poker strategy books. Who verifies that these things are kosher there! These blokes must truly love the dramatic or get bored very easily. PAP in Hot Water

Obviously the guy was offering up pdf copies of 2+2 published material and they rightfully took offense to it and initiated some sort of cease & desist action.

I've had members of a community I operate try to "help" other members out with pdf files of poker books, and always squashed that in the bud.

If you can't afford 20 bucks for a good quality poker book, well, you probably can't afford to play poker.

Pretty piss-poor judgement by the folks at PAP though, thought it was common sense not to encourage that sort of behavoir. But nothing really suprises me from that camp anymore

No suprise Bob Rains would do something this unprofessional after seeing him jump up to take the position there and defend the brand during the cardspike debacle, his ethics rang loud and clear then and still do now.

Well most likely it's just a true showing of Bob Rains character and his likeness of the previous problems at CAP/PAP. If this is the sort of persona the company is being built around then honestly nothing has changed - which we all knew anyhow.

As MJ stated above, there is absolutely no surprise here how shallow the level of professionalism is from this bunch.

However, when I pulled up the thread page I was surprised how childish, irrational and unapologetic Mr Rains was regarding the situation. Is it really AMI's public stance to be defensive? Have they not learned to apologize when they are blatantly wrong? Looks like a sinking ship with Rains just adding holes to the deck.

- Trust me that there are plenty of operators in the business watching to see this new 'rebuilding' strategy unfold; none of whom are surprised at the new leadership or initiatives. More smoke, more mirrors and more instances needing apologized for.
