100 years ago on July 4th this letter was written by my great grandfather. I posted this last year on PAP on the 4th of july, I have made some progress, but have not found the cannon mentioned here yet. Cliff notes for those who can't read it all... My 3rd great grandfather was a general in the civil war and he kept a few cannons after the war; 1 of which he would fire with his sons on the 4th of july every year. Im trying to find it.
