Windows 7 - Anyone Upgrade Yet?

Anyone tried Windows 7 yet? Just wanted to get your thoughts.

I'm in the process of installing it right now so I'll post my thoughts when I'm done.

I always wait before installing until it's been out a month so they can release the various patches and bug fixes first, let us know what you think.

Did you like Vista? I think Windows 7 to Vista is as XP was to ME fwiw, probably not huge changes.

I've been using it for a few weeks now. Yes, it is very similar to Vista but seems faster and more responsive. For that reason I'd say its a good improvement.

I'm still getting used to some things, buy I definitely like it more than Vista.

I am fan of Vista. I really didn't run into any problems that I can recall and I liked the visuals of it. I've heard that Windows 7 is basically a performance upgrade, which is always welcome!

Being a mac guy I like Vista also. I just bought a laptop so I have two PC's again even though my primary is a Mac. It was my first taste of Vista and I liked it a lot more than XP.

Just bought a new notebook with Windows 7. Waited for some weeks until it's in store and I can sell this f*ing Vista notebook at ebay. Really, I hate Vista so much. Even an extremly fast notebook feels like a gold old 386 machine

I again am one that is a fan of vista, wasnt when i first got it htough, but they seem to have gotten their act together...

As for Windows 7, i am going to wait a little before taking the leap into installing it!

I've been using for almost 3 months now. Best decision I've made computer wise in years. W7 is the stone cold nuts. Fast loading, super responsive and almost no bugs (the 1 bug i found is Google Talk, but obv thats not a massive issue). Highly recommend that anyone who is still using that POS Vista to take the plunge and ship W7 onto your laptop/PC.

I will be buyin W7 when I buy new computer parts.
I like Vista, never had a problem with it only some programs but that is not Vista's fault, ppl tend to blame Vista when it's infact the specific program that doesn't have a proper update, two different things, end of story!.

Haven't used it much, but so far so good. I did a clean install of Windows 7and it took roughly 30 minutes to complete. Everything went smoothly and I had no issues at all.

They did talk about better boot up times for W7, but I am seeing the same at just over a minute by the time the internet is booted up.

For anyone wanting to switch, they have a Window 7 Home Premium Family Pack that lets you upgrade 3 different computers for $150 - much better than the $120 for one PC.
