Default Blastoff - The Next Big Thing?

Before I start, just want to say that I told a good friend of mine that I would spread the word (as he gets credit for anyone I refer), which is why I made this post. I haven't personally looked into Blastoff at all, but it sounds promising from what he's told me.

Anyways, my friend has really high hopes for it and tells me that it may be the next big thing. It's basically an online shopping mall with a ton of extras that could potentially be everyone's new homepage. With that being said, referrals go 10 users deep and everyone is set to make money on their referred users who shop in the mall...so if this were to take off there is some opportunity in getting in early.

Right now they are only accepting new users that get referred by a current user. If you would like to check this out, you can sign up through my referral link: http://ppl.blastoffnetwork.com/jeremymiller or if you don't want to sign up and just want to check it out, blastoffnetwork.com will get you there as well.

Has anyone else heard about this? What are your thoughts? I don't know that I see it becoming the next big thing, but we'll see.

That is some extremely powerful software they have going there, wow.

I love the idea of cashback, I've tried to enter the niche myself and have a couple of great domains for it BUT - with Microsoft and Fatwallet as competitors I just don't see how any average Joe could break in. I mean, cashback is part of Bing search.

I'm really surprised this isn't a global thing. Maybe it has something to do with the stores in the mall not all supporting global sales...

This is indeed a nice idea. I've always thought that creating customizable homepages for people is something that needs working on. I personally keep it blank, but if I could get a simply page which allows me to open up my favourite news sites/weather and work realetd sites, I'd probably use it in a heart beat.

Im not sure this is that customizable though. It still looks fairly heavy and rigid, which may be its downfall.

Yeah iGoogle satisfies all of your requirements that you listed. It also can pull the latest posts from your favorite blogs, so you can see when they're updated.

I think it is too restrictive in the design layout. Maybe I need to play with it more?
