Default Decided to put my money where my mouth is

Since I hate the US Government (Timothy Geithner and Hank Paulson in particular) and I know that our currency isn't worth shit, I decided to finally take the plunge and buy metals. I have been telling friends for awhile that our paper money won't be (isn't) worth shit and that they are burning money by saving paper instead of buying metals, figured it was time I acted on my own advice.

    First purchase...

    (1) 10 Ounce Pure Silver Bar (.999)

    (2) 1/4 Ounce Pure Gold Coin (.991)

I think my plan is to put all of my future money straight into metals. Think about it, metals have been currency for thousands of years, our wooden nickels aren't worth the paper they are printed on.

If anyone wants pictures I will take them, so pretty to look at.

Yeah please give us a picture to look at

Haven't got any money in metals myself. Don't quote me on this but I believe India recently made a huge purchase of gold, and that put the value up like 5% in a day..

I have also started buying precious metals. Specifically Silver. I have been buying silver eagles as well as 1 oz. bullion. The 10 oz. bars are not bad to have either.

While all the rave is about gold now days, I personally like silver better because it's much more liquid in the event you ever wanted to unload it in reasonable amounts. Likewise heaven forbid we ever had a Weimer Germany scenario with hyperinflation and a complete currency collapse, bartering with 1 oz. of silver would be much easier than 1 oz. of gold.

Regardless of those scenarios however I feel 100% more comfortable with precious metals in a safe versus dollars in corrupt manipulated banks.

In Thailand gold is just as good as currency. There are gold shops everywhere with the published rate for buying and selling. These are all over the place. Also if you're pulled over and need to bribe the officer Gold works just fine too.
If you're going to bet US Sports online - I strongly suggest 5Dimes.com or Bookmaker.eu.

Some succeed because they are destined to, but most succeed because they are determined to.

I will take some pics here.

I suggest Silver more than Gold (even though Gold hit an all time high 20 minutes after I bought mine). Silver hit $50 an ounce in the 80's, I got mine for $19, it is so undervalued especially when adjusted for inflation or when compared to Gold.

Ya I agree if I had 50K or 100K and nothing to do with it I'd put it all in gold but I dont so thats one less thing to deal with.

I buy all my metals online as well as through local dealers. There are many reputable dealers out there. If people are interested enough I can get you hooked up with a good online broker.
