    Default Web 3.0?

    Hey Everyone,

I was at a networking event the other day and I started talking to somone who claimed to be working ona web 3.0 project. Anyway he was coding his website in this brand new platform which is around 6 months old called "Cappuccino". Now he described it to me as "AJAX on crack".

Anyway i got linked to a website that uses it in one of its products: 280 Slides - Create & Share Presentations Online .

Is web 3.0 really just having all applications in web browsers and not on the desktop or would it still be classed as web 2.0?

I prefer to call it "ThirdGen Web". *sniff*

And no one has yet really figured out what it will be. Google seems to be pushing for real-time Web applications hosted in the cloud, but whether people settle on that as "ThirdGen Web" or "Web 3.0" or whatever, who knows?
