Need keyboard help

I bought a new computer the other day and the keyboard has all kinds of shit on it some buttons got 3 or 4 things on it.

Anyway the 2 button second function is now " instead of the at symbol, I dont know what I did to change it but does anyone know how to change this.

Maybe I didnt explain that right

the 2 button has 3 characters on it the, 2 the at symbol and this "

When I press shift 2 this " comes up instead of the at symbol

For the past couple days its been working fine when I pressed the shift plus 2 keys the at symbol came up now shift plus come I get "

Its set up as English (United Kingdom)

Goto start / control panel / regional and language options and change to
English (United States)

should sort it

When you press shift+ctrl it switches from the normal characters to the weird characters.

1) Don't hit SHIFT-CTRL

2) Install the appropriate language on your system, with appropriate keyboard driver

3) Maybe your keyboard is whacked, and time to spend $ 10 on a new one

I always buy the cheap $5.99 keyboards from our local PC shop. That way once they get dirty I just throw it out and get a new one.
Never have found a use for all the extra's that some keyboards come with, or enough to justify spending more then $5.99 for.
Heck, I dont even know what most of the "F" keys do, lol
