    I miss working on Macs...I used them for 10 years while working on advertising, every two years we would get machines and get to keep the ones from our work stations. It was great, being stuck on pc the last few years has been like going from a Porsche to ummmm I guess a Toyota (keeping current)

    As someone who has worked in tech for 20 or so years I think I shocked everyone when I bought my first Mac notebook about 4 years ago. I was either Win or Linux for most of the time. I even ran Linux on my laptops because I found it much more useful.

    But when I decided to move to Europe I asked myself what was I really doing with my computer. What apps was I really using? And the conclusion I came to was that 90% of the time I was either surfing the web or reading email. I didn't need all of these Windows apps. I also didn't need all the little scripts and apps I had written on my Linux boxes. I just needed a stable, reliable, OS that supported a few key programs. OSX someone fit the bill so I decided to try it out on a cheap Macbook. After 3 years of that I went with the Macbook Pro and I haven't looked back.

    The Mac store makes me want to punch someone. Not so much the people that I see in there, but more like whom ever was responsible for creating them.

    I was last spotted humping my PC in the entrance to the Mac store and taunting everyone Mac's Last Stand

    Sorry for your luck...

    MACS are a waste of money...don't like 'em and they are NOT WORTH THE $ for what you can get in a new PC.

    Your spend TWICE as much for HALF the specs.

    @MJ

    I have a computer I use to monitor the rankings of my sites and other things that hog up resources. I use RealVNC to access it from the computer I work from.

    I don't have an Iphone, but a logmein app sounds awesome.

    I've had the logmein ignition app running on my iphone for about 2 months now and it's pretty slick. I don't use it very much, but it's fully capable of running/controlling your home computer through the screen on your iphone. I guess I thought I'd use it more, but anyways it's still a really nice thing to have full access to your computer from almost anywhere...just in case. Works as advertised, but not a cheap app at $30.
