I just read this news article on recentpoker about a french ban imposed on Lyon having a betting logo/sponsor on their shirts for an away champions league game.

Really does make me think how f*ckin stupid the french are. The fact it was out of Frances jurisdiction, and that madrid had a betting sponsor Bwin on their shirt in the same game makes it laughable that Lyon are not allowed.

In england, betting sponsors make up probably 1/5 of shirt sponsors, along with TV commericals during footy broadcasts and stadium advertising.

Sometimes I really do wonder whether we "really" do live in a democracy with liberty.
