Aced bonus question - Help clear this up

That was more a generic question, not specific to Aced. For example, Stars changed their bonus to starts50 not too long ago. Why? What's the benefit from an operators point of view (especially since the bonus offer is unchanged in this case). I'm just trying to see the logic behind it.

It also is a testing strategy to see what works best in regards to conversions, player values, and net rev.

I just have to post this. Its a good example of how much Aced rocks. Me and Nicole have a lot of comp points at various Merge rooms. We spent a lot of comp points at PDC poker the other day on satellite tickets.

Here are the rates for PDC (assuming Carbon is the same as well)

$2.20 satellite ticket = 15,000 comp points
$11 satellite ticket = 50,000 comp points
$60 satellite ticket = 150,000 comp points

Rates at Aced

$2.20 satellite ticket = 1,400 comp points
$11 satellite ticket = 3,400 comp points
$60 satellite ticket = 19,900 comp points

The difference is staggering. Aced is the only Merge room I know of where comp points actually mean something.

I have around 150,000 comp points at Carbon and all i can buy is maybe a t-shirt and scotch glasses.. both which have their logo and advertise there site. Thats a lot of points to spend to become a free marketer of their site.

Do players earn comp points in at the same rate in both rooms or do you earn them faster at PDC? It just seems odd that there is such a difference.

They seem to earn at the same rate, this might be a loophole at Aced or just another way that Aced is adding more value over other skins (and there is several reasons why that is happening).

Also - I think that when Merge introduces the new comp system network wide Aced will be the exact same as other skins (but for right now what a great conversion tool I never even considered).
