Hey there affiliates,
My name is Tom, and I'm an Affiliate Manager here at Carbon. Oh, and I'm also here to report a huge bad beat payout that happened last night on the site.
Great for the players, yes, but great for affiliates as well--if a player hits the Bad Beat Jackpot and their affiliate has the Bad Beat banner on their site the affiliate picks up a cool 1.5% of the jackpot! Here's the rest of the info:
Over $600,000 was paid out to nine poker players in the latest Bad Beat Jackpot at CarbonPoker.
September 22, 2009 – CarbonPoker recently paid out over $600,000 to lucky poker players on a Bad Beat table. The jackpot was triggered when a seemingly unbeatable Straight Flush lost to a Royal Flush.
Playing on a $0.50/$1.00 No Limit Texas Hold’em table, baseball127’s Queen-high Straight Flush lost to WhiteCSix’s Royal Flush. This ‘loss’ for baseball127 awarded him $211,758.31.
WhiteCSix’s winning hand took down the $128.78 pot as well as the $105,879.15 Bad Beat Winner bonus. The remaining seven players in the hand were all awarded $15,125.59
baseball127 has been playing poker for four years and had this to say: “I really can’t believe that this happened to me! I guess God had me bet there at just the right moment. I love CarbonPoker and the Bad Beat Jackpot! No one else compares to your game play functionality, quality of players and timely payouts.”
CarbonPoker spokesman, Jay Manning says, “CarbonPoker is proud to announce another Bad Beat Jackpot payout. It’s a fun way of giving back to players. Including our record-breaking $1.2Million payout earlier this year, we have awarded three life-changing jackpots.
“Imagine playing at a reasonably low-stakes table, with a pot of $128, and then finding over $200,000 in your account. It is a poker player’s dream – and CarbonPoker is happy to accommodate.”
Since 2008, the BBJ has been one of CarbonPoker’s most popular features – awarding over $2.3 Million to lucky losers.
CarbonPoker is proud to offer the lowest qualifier of any Bad Beat bonus online – needing only quad 7s or better to trigger the jackpot.
The Bad Beat Jackpot has been reseeded and has already started to grow. Watch the bonus increase in real time at CarbonPoker.com.
Thanks for your time guys, please do get in touch about any questions affiliate-related or otherwise. Cheers,

Alan
Thanks for the email guys. I can confirm that as of last night we have been having problems with our affiliate marketing links. We are working on this now and expect to have the issue completely resolved by this afternoon.
Sincerest apologizes for any inconvenience this has caused, and thank you for your patience. I will post again when this problem is corrected, and in the meantime feel free to get in touch.

Is any other US-based affiliate having problems cashing out of their player accounts via check ?
I put a request in for a check back on 1/8/2010, and after 2 1/2 months, have still not received a check. Several queries to the PDC Affiliates support team have been sent (and replied to quickly) stating that they are checking with the processor and have not heard back yet. This has been going on for quite some time now, and I just keep being asked to remain patient.
Anyone else having these problems ? AM's, feel free to chime in.
