The situation is already so complicated, and I feel there is no way it will reach any sort of resolution in just one year.

When the UIGEA goes into full effect on June 1, I think the way banks respond could potentially get the ball rolling. At this time, though, it's impossible to say.

    lol

It's been 1 year since the OP started this thread, i guess everybody who voted "yes" are wrong.

If you ask me, i think it will be legalized but not anytime soon, they have to figure out a way to tax the income from the poker sites.

It should never have become illegal. True people CAN develop a gambling addiction, but they can get cancer from being addicted to cigarettes and that's not illegal....you can kill your liver by being addicted to alcohol and that is not illegal. Instead they have help out there for people with these addictions, as they do with gambling addiction..so where is the difference?
True that people are addicted in so many ways and when it comes to gambling Government is so much bias and over reactionary in many ways. The benefits derived from gambling far outweighs negative implications.

I would like to hope so. Although if they leave it up to the states, I will still be illegal. Hasn't stopped me yet.

US government has too many more pressing issues including decline of democratic party and looming depression that this will pass in the foreseeable future.
