Does the popup say what the script is?
I visited my doctor last week, and he told me I had to stop masturbating. I asked him why, surely it’s not dangerous. He said it was distracting him.
No, All the pop-up reads is: "Stop running script? A script on this page is causing your web browser to run slowly. If it continues to run, your computer might become unresponsive."
Here's the thread that was started a while ago regarding this error: Anyone Else get a pop error on the forum main page?

Ok this problem happens because Internet Explorer is way to cautious and has a system in place that will allow you to not run a script if the browser thinks it will take to long to run. Unfortunately, I do not know what script is causing this to happen. So the only thing I can suggest is for you to go to this url and use the program they supply to fix certain things about IE. This is a program directly from Microsoft, so it should be safe to use.
Microsoft Fix It Program
If you go to that page and scroll own you should see an image that says Fix It. Click that and you will have to download the program. Then run it and do anything it says.

Posting News on the homepage area on the Forums isn't working. GerryPolt and myself tried posting news and the titles show up as "..." and they don't link to the URL's we put the news in for.
