I'm not sure why the old setting stopped working. Tommy has it set up now though for all new posts or new members that signature links will not show up until the member has 50 posts. We can adjust this as well. Unfortunately for existing posts we would have to go through and manually delete the sigs.

Moving forward though this shouldn't be an issue.

Likewise we have also installed a new spam-o-matic tool where mods and admins can delete all posts and ban users much more efficiently. The plugin also checks the Askimet database against known spammers and will not allow known I.P. adresses or email addresses to register. I think this should help stop spammers initially and make it easier for mods to quickly get rid of these idiots.

Ha, Jeremy, posting the same as me, just a tad faster. I am leaving my post, so I can still feel informative.

I added a plugin that restricts the use of links in the signature area to people that have 50+ posts. That is new members. If a member had links in their signature before I installed the plugin, then they will need to have their links manually removed.

As for the one touch cleanup, I added a very detailed span watcher plugin that also allows for one touch cleanup. To use this, just select the post(s) in question and click the last link in the moderation drop down box at the bottom of the page. The link is titled Spam-O-Matic.
