    What I am wondering now though is, did the malicious file install a virus that installed this browser extension? I never installed this extension, unless it's a default extension? Don't think so.

    It can't be purely a coincidence that all these members on PAL got the same malicious file warning. I am still thinking it might be related.

    That said, I remember watching a hacker show on TV not so long ago, and remember them talking about how a virus can infect your system without you executing anything. You just have to be online. So who knows....
