Sending PM's but still says 0

I have sent 2 PM's to the same person yet my total messages and sent messages still read 0. Does this mean they have not gone through or is this a setting or something? Maybe I can't send because I am new?

Please advise, don't want to keep resending to the same person

I had this issue a few weeks ago on other forum.
When you send a PM, down in the page, there are a few options you can check/uncheck. One of them is Save a copy of the message in Sent items.

So if you want to save it just check that box. But don't worry, your messages were sent

P.S. Usually that box is checked but on some forums isn't (like here)
