Default I propose a ballers only forum

I have just found something very similar in the domain community. A private forum with only the heavy hitters allowed to read and post. I was granted entry and blown away at the quality of information being freely shared - and the amazing signal to noise ratio. I think something like this should exist in the poker affiliate world and I think this site would be the perfect place for it.

Inclusion would be at the discretion of the moderator(s) but should include significant experience in the industry, strongly established site(s), verified (if necessary) high earnings, ownership of a poker skin or site etc.

Not that PAL isn't a great thing for the poker affiliate community, but I feel like the top dogs would contribute more if only other top dogs were reading what they wrote.

A key feature of the domain forum is that upon admission, everybody has to agree to a confidentiality clause - anything discussed in the forum is to remain with members of the forum - if anybody shares any of the information there with anybody else, they are immediately banned.

Why not try it out here? I'd try it myself but don't think I have the right contacts and pull to get it done - but would love to see something like this exist (and to submit my application!).

This was discussed earlier, and i think it wasent done because then most of us would proberly post there and there wouldent be shared much info with new members.

I doubt there are more than 10 regular posters on PAL who would qualify for what I am suggesting. There would be probably another 10-20 affiliates who don't post here who would qualify and that would be about it.

I wasn't suggesting a forum for people with high post counts. I was suggesting a forum for people with high earnings. It has been my experience those two things often times have an inverse correlation. The reason is that there is little benefit for the high earnings to share their secrets with the newbies - however there would be a lot of benefit with them sharing them with each other.

Most of the high-earners here (and most people in general) are extremely helpful and go out of their way to help new affiliates get started. Not being funny but I think what you have said is total crap. Competition is good and healthy and to discount people just because they aren't earning 'x' amount is rubbish. What would be the point in PAL if the experienced affiliates only posted in a private section... dumb imo

I'm not sure what the level of qualification is: I don't even make close to what the big guys make so maybe i don't qualify so in that sense I wouldn't care if the forum was added or not.

If I do qualify then I'd also be against it because there is nothing I'd post in those forums that I wouldn't post in an open one.
If you're going to bet US Sports online - I strongly suggest 5Dimes.com or Bookmaker.eu.

A true baller shares their secrets because they want to, not because of how much money they or others are making. I used to clear 30k+/month. I know others that used to clear 6 figures a month. Didn't matter how much money we made, we helped people lucky to earn 2 figures a month. While I respect your right to suggest stuff, this is just not a good suggestion and offers no value to this community.

I absolutely agree. PAL is all about affiliates helping affiliates. Not segmented groups of affiliates based on how "successful" they are. Gydian, great post. I probably wouldn't qualify for the ballers forum but I'd be against it even if I did.

I use aweber for all of my email marketing needs. I use HostGator for most of my hosting. I have all my domains registered at GoDaddy. I bet and like to promote BookMaker quite a bit.

I know I would not qualify by anyone's imagination, but even if I ever did, I never was one to be a part of any type of "elite" group any way.

Just incase this comes into play.

I would like to say it nice knowing you all.

On a more serious note. This might work in the poker community, but i strongly suggest it wouldn't in the poker affiliate community.

Plus i'm pretty sure the reason Jeremy makes so much money from PAL is because their are new affiliate coming through and signing up to affiliate sites.

But if I was to suggest, whats needed to be able to participate at PAL, is that you dont SPAM.

And apart from that, if I was in charge of PAL, everyone would be welcome to ask questions and comment.
