Suggestion: 15 minute time limit on edit posts

There is way to much post editing and deletion after the fact here. We've had some cases where threads don't even make sense later because they've been cultivated after the fact. This was part of the drama we had a couple weeks ago.

Another situation was today where a couple posts were linked to, and then one member went and deleted their past posts replacing them with an image.

I suggest a thing like 2+2 where there is a short window to edit, and then later the post can not be edited.

under the new situation people can think a little more about what they post, and also not waste peoples time afterward.

How about an option to add to a post after the time has expired but not change the original content? Any plugins like this out there for vb?

Done............No more editing after 15 minutes. I am however happy to change it back or do whatever.

Anyway, it wouldn't let me edit moments after, and the damn edit was my idea, and it was funny.

Doesn't help for marketplace posts where they tend to get edited more becasue of adjusting and updating the listings.

Well, it's not allowing me to edit at all. I agree it is a good move but as Cooldog said, it can create a problem in the marketplace, where the listings have to be edited/updated continuously.
