    Default Tips for RakeBack deals

    Hey fellow affi mates

Im writing this article because I found lots of people (okey, some posts were quit old) who where really against rakeback-system and working with it.
I personally really dont get this anti-rakeback thinking? Comparing CPA deals I found MGR/Revenue Share based deals way better.

I guess that most of you already know all of this what will come, but in case some does not.

Here is few tips for working with MGR & rakeback:
(sorry for misspelling and grammar…its not my main language)

Beside volume you should really concentrate quality.
Working with rakeback-deals you should but lots of effort to find real grinders who are generating 1-5k+ mgr every months. This should be the target group. When you once get this kind of players with satisfying deals you are hitting the jack pot!

    lets calculate:
player rakes 2000$ with 40% deal.

and lets say you will get 15% on top of that. That’s 300$ in every months mates!! And now we are talking about just one player.

Of course you need to keep them happy and but some effort to them. Some examples:
    • msn-support. Don’t need to be 24/7 but all the time when you are on computer keep your msn/fb open and be ready to help them if needed.
    • Check your emails daily
    • Remember them on their B-day /X-mas etc. Don’t need to be anything huge. You know the saying that “idea is more important”. For example: Give them some online tournament tickets, pokerbooks (+B-day card)etc etc etc. Wouldn’t be too big problem to send a pokerbook worth for 30$ if you get 300$+ every month out of this dude.
    • Be something between friend and an affiliate. Ask time after time how they are doing, how is poker? Even you don’t give a s*** about their downswings and their villans 2 outers. But you know, its important to them that they feel you care.
    • Listen to their needs. If your high volume player is busto you should pay his rakeback in advance, or if you know him well maybe even borrow a small bankroll to start again. Be a friend, help them. They will remeber it for sure!

And this are just few things (mainly enough) you could do for them. Idea is to give them a service they deserve and make them feel valuable , as they are! When they get this from you, they are not looking it from elsewhere. Even in case they would get a bit better deal from other affi they are not taking it, because you are great guy and loyal friend. Few months ago you even paid his/her rakeback in advance!

And that’s not all. Players who are playing for living know other players (like them) as well. So when their poker friends are looking for new network/deals try to guess who are they suggesting?.yes… answer is YOU! And here you come, one more real grinder! So good customercare and right target group will pay you profit BIG TIMES!

If you keep up good work you will see how big amount of new players will jump in and close to non will leave. Having only 10-30 of this level of players is worth for gold

From my start I have worked only with deals based on rakeback. So could someone explain me what are the advantages on CPA and other deals?

    Cheers
    RB

wow, nice post! thank you! how do you get all the data like b-day or email from your players? the big rooms even won't tell affiliates how much their players raked because they are afraid they will pay some extra rakeback for example...

You collect that information with sign up steps.

    For example,

    step 1: clear cookies
step 2: click link, sign up, use bonus code
step 3: submit username and email

Now to collect name, birthday, and etc. The easy way would be to use PAS (aff link) or one of their sites that provide you with ready to go site out of the box. It's up to you to customize it like I did. (See site in sig.)

The hard way would be to hire a programmer to build you a custom CMS. (or should I just say the costly way)

    Hey,
    here is some answers:

    getting information.
*When people are singing up as a members of a site you can ask questions you like to know about them. Name, B-day, Country ...even what game/level they are playing or rake a month. Its really up to you!

    * When my customers are looking for "sing up details/help" the last few sentences are like this : "After registeration please send your username to this xxxx addres and our customercare team will check out that everything went right and confirm it to you".
This confirmation email means a lots for some players, so you are actually building up your brand. Easy way to give trusthworthy image for your business + get your players email add.

    * I have a huge excel file where I have stored a lots of diferent kind of information. I have this file opened everytime Im on msn and talking with my players.

On this file there is also some "not so essential information" for example: " This player had downswing last week and now he is trying to get motivation back at nl100-level". So on next time when Im on msn I can ask if his hitting the upswing finally etc. I dont know you guys but my memory sucks. Anyway its still important for my big customers that I know where they stand and how is their life and game.

    * I know some poker rooms' managers really well. So I can even get some essential information about my players from them.

....I paid around 600€ for one friend of mine to program my site + CMS for me. I find it a good investment.

Regarding the poker rooms to work with. I could NEVER EVER work with a site that refuse to give me my players rake data. If you work with this kind of sites how you would be sure that you are not get cheated...even its a big site?

hey OP, just asking here since you mentioned English was not your first language. Do you know what "rape" means in english? If so, whatever... but the word rape gives off negative connotations to most english speaking folks and seeing it in your name gave me at least a negative impression right away.

this should probably be a PM but not interested enough to change it to that. I'm just letting you know in case you didn't.

    Hey,
I do know what "rape" means, but mabye I was still seeing it as a bit diferent content than native speakers. For me it was just a stupid "word puzzle" rakeback-rapeback etc. Anyway I got couple of negative feedback about it, so i decided to change it ...coz of course I want to give a good picture about me, as a person who is serioulsy in to this business.

    Thanks for feedback Spry.

    Cheers.

No problem. also Jeremy or any other admin can merge your two accounts / change your name if you'd wish instead of starting a new account (i don't believe moderators can do this).

You mean after players Rakeback/Valueback/(what ever) you are only getting 3-5% of commissions (on FullTilt?)?

If this was the questions answer is this: What about getting great deals to some of the main networks (micro, boss, ongame, entraction, cake,Ipoker) and you can have way more %%% by yourself.
If you are only getting 3-5% of commissions by promoting one of those networks you are working with to low deals and should try to find better ones. Giving "too good" deals to your players could be also the problem. Would still say more likely your low deals, because the markets are tougt and players knows pretty well what they should recieve and most of the cases are asking/excpecting it.
