Default PAS Transfer Fee - LMFAO

I just read the PAS December newsletter and seen the headline "PAS Website Transfers & Publisher Account Moves" since buying other publishers PAS websites is something I have done before. I decided to read the whole article and then I clicked over to Website Transfer Policy see the "transfer fee" and my reaction was LMFAO.

You seriously think anyone is going to pay a $250 transfer fee? The last website I bought was worth less than that! Let's take a moment to think about this. Most PAS websites being sold are low income websites from PAS publishers that are leaving the business altogether or moving to RE/RU. Why on earth would you want to charge a transfer fee to someone trying their best to bring PAS more players?

Thank you for killing all future PAS website buys from me. Great job PAS.

I'm guessing that it requires some work on their end to do a transfer, how much I have no idea and I also doubt it would cost that much in time. I think they should do a more reasonable fee and waive it for accounts generating over "x" amount of dollars, that sounds more fair. Did you contact them about it before posting? If so what was the response?

Its not a bad business plan either to make custom PAS sites and then sell them. Getting them out of the hands of small affiliates, and into the hands of money makers.. But this fee kinda kills that.

On the other hand... there will be no question before a transfer of accounts.

Yeah, it does take time from their tech team but if a upfront fee is that important than long term income produced money making publishers then a smaller reasonable fee would be much better and to waive the free for accounts generating over "x" amount would be better as well.

I thought that was the point in buying the PAS websites in the first place. To get these websites into publishers' hands that can produce signups and income.

You can still purchase PAS Accounts at no charge. The only change made by the new transfer policy is that there will be a charge for merging or transferring PAS Accounts.  ie, transferring websites and players from a purchased PAS Account to another PAS Account.
