Default Is Poker Rakeback Dead For The Casual Player?

I figured I would throw this out there since I don't really play online that much anymore. But for those of you guys that would consider yourself still "casual players", what would you say the state of rakeback is these days. Is it still as important or sought after as it once was?

I don't think there's any chance that the U.S. regulated market will have anything to do with rakeback, but I almost wonder if that will be a positive thing for those unregulated rooms still offering it like Merge or WPN rooms. Anyhow just curious to hear from some of you players or even rakeback affiliates what the state of that market is right now in your opinions.

Rakeback is not dead for casual players, because rakeback is like receiving a discount on your fee's when you play poker online, and it adds up, even for players that don't play a lot of online poker.

I'd prefer freerolls over rakeback any day, but having both freerolls and rakeback is definitely better(obviously), and some sites where I got rakeback already have that.

Every AM I've ever talked to told me not to bother with freerolls. Attracting players that way was an entirely different world from what we were doing and if we weren't managing to bring in thousands of players a month that the money made would be weak. Even with thousands of players a month it wouldn't blow your mind.

I chose to believe them after being in some bonus whore/casual player chats where people room hop left and right looking for freerolls and not really playing real money unless they have freeroll winnings to clear/cash out.

    Red face

I heard that partypoker loyalty scheme launches on Monday 23 May and not only is it much more straightforward, it also gives you up to 40 percent cash back into your account every week.Is that really true?.....
