Well affiliates offering rakeback at ongame, party etc. I dunno, I don;t deal with that. I do know of several rooms that allow certain affiliates to offer "private" rakeback. So, some of the rooms you mentioned do allow rarkeback, they just don't want anyone to know. Bodog is a good example.

This is the thing isnt it.

ipoker, no rakeback allowed, yet there are more people offering it privately than you can shake a stick at!

If i played on ipoker i could get a better deal than i get anywhere else, not that i would want to play there.

Seems to me to be a little imbalance with it on all counts where rakeback is not allowed!

The network, i believe is fighting a losing battle to keep it out of their repertoire.

As for offering above the Capped rakeback, that is wrong and something I don't like. Poker room should be responsible for monitoring who they allow to offer rakeback and do verification check audits IMO

I don't promote Ipoker rooms, but usually its the poker room allowing this and not a bad affiliate doing it under the table. Hard to be mad at the affiliate when they allow him to do it.

Example: A very well know poker room approached me 2 months ago to offer rakeback. I thought everyone was going to be doing rakeback and quickly found out I am the "test affiliate" for this.

there is a lot going on behind the scences

    Agreed, completly.

The problem is though, where is the line drawn?

    What is right or wrong?

Room offers a deal that should not be on offer - is the affiliate correct to promote?

A room offers you the chance to offer rakeback when its not allowed - same question!

Nearly always seems to be the smaller or newer rooms but if the larger more well known rooms are also doing it then it will get interesting.

Well, the bigger rooms are doing it, and I'll do it if I can and have permission. Plain and simple, they are allowing me to have an advantage and they are testing the market. Players benefit and so do I. I don't think there is anything wrong with it. But, if I was on the other side of the fence, ya know.

Can anyone tell me if a poker room offered you a special promo only for you then you would turn them down? If you say yes, you are FOS or hate money.

As for smaller rooms, I seem to get burned every time I try a new or smaller room. Cardspike anyone? So, I tend to stay away, or will now..
