Default What % of unique visitors result in sign ups?

What percentage of your unique visitors sign up at your rakeback sites? I'm currently getting approximately one rakeback sign up per 500 unique visitors on google analytics. Obviously these won't be 500 different people. It could be the same 100 people visiting every day for five days, and half of them could be current customers, so it's just a rough measure, but i'd still like to know if my site is converting correctly. Thanks.

Well it varies depending on a ton of factors, but those numbers seem pretty low. I average a much higher conversion rate on almost all of my websites. It has not always been that way though, tons of trial and error and testing has went into figuring out how to convert traffic.

I'd say one of the big factors is what KW's you are getting traffic for. If it is xxx poker rakeback or something I would expect your conversion rate to be much higher. But if you are running a rakeback site and getting traffic to news articles or strategy, then I can see it being much lower and probably your 1/500

So I guess if you want to post what terms you are getting traffic for (not sure I would in public) them we might better be able to help you

i'm new to the poker niche, but a 1-2% conversion rate is pretty standard in other markets, i'd be aiming for at least that.

Around 20% of my traffic comes from searches for rakeback. The rest is a vast mix. I've always been on page two or three for rakeback though, so i'm starting to suspect that it isn't players clicking, but rather people looking for link exchanges and affiliate managers etc, as players usually don't go that deep. That would explain alot.

it heavily depends on your site. if it's all clear,well-structured and you have great offers for your player numbers of up to 10% seem to be realistic, but that % is pretty hard to reach imo

It varies a lot, I tried reaching a number and couldn't.

I'm guessing if a person's site was very well presented for content and conversion power, and ranked number one in google for "play online poker" or "play texas holdem" or basically, any keyword phrase where a player is naturally looking to take action...at least sign up and play for free for a while...a site could have a sign up conversion ratio above 40% for the "web surfers" that visit the site.

naturally, a chunk of traffic for lucrative keywords will bring daily webmaster competitors and poker room representatives who are checking out the serps and sites occupying the top positions.
