Question Promoting Rakeback in a non-rakeback site ?

    Promoting Rakeback in a non-rakeback site ?

Is it a must to promote rakeback in a separate domain ?

This is a concept that i've never understood. Let's say that you have a non rakeback full tilt link on your site, and you also have a couple of rakeback deals. Once your players see those and work out what rakeback is, the first thing they're going to do is google full tilt rakeback. Surely adding rakeback deals kills all of your non rakeback deals?

Good point. Plus you got to ask yourself. How will you handle it when someone signup through your non-rakeback link and then find out about rakeback. How will you give them rakeback?

what if the rakeback section is completely isolate from the non-rakeback section, under a sub-domain or subfolder, two sections are not interlink each others.

Will there be still issues from the poker rooms or the players ?

In that case, I wouldn't even bother with that. Just think about the players point of view with this. They are on your top domain and signup to full tilt poker and then come across your subdomain and wonder why they dont have rakeback. They will email you and what you going to do then? Once this happen to enough players, they will all start posting in forums saying not to signup at your site or just stop coming to your site.

Bottom line, if you want get into the rakeback market. Change all the poker rooms that allow rakeback to an rakeback offer and make sure that all poker rooms that don't allow rakeback has a loyalty program for your players.

    Or

You can always start a new site.

I do not think its a great idea to offer rakeback and non rakeback for the SAME room, but I see nothing wrong with offering some rooms as rakeback and other rooms as non rakeback. Also, some sites will not let you promote them if you have rake or rakeback in your domain.

The point is simple: More content to attract more people. Someone might be searching for pokerstars keywords, end up on the site and learn about rakeback and sign up at FT, for example. Having the PS keywords direct the person to your site did them a favor. If they choose to sign up for the non RB room anyway, at least you get the sale either way.

You have a good point there but it would be pointless to have non-rakeback ft links and rakeback ft links on the same site is what we are talking about.

Yes, I was thinking in the lines of what Randy said. Non RB links for non RB rooms, and RB links for RB rooms. Otherwise, yes it makes no sense to have soem content with RB and some without for the same room. Sorry for the confusion.
