    Default Rakeback Situation With Bodog

As most of you already know, Bodog seems to be going in the opposite direction when it comes to rakeback and from my understanding they may eliminate it within the coming months. My question is, will the super affiliates that already have rakeback deals with Bodog be "grandfathered" in and current players/sub affiliates allowed to keep it and just not offer it anymore or will everyone be cut out?

Nobody has a clue what the situation there will be. The only sure things are that bodog are very anti rakeback and bodog is a terrible poker site.

Hey guys, it is true that Bodog, and Bodog Network in particular, are anti-rakeback. To generate revenue, a poker network needs net depositing players, but rakeback typically attracts professional or semi-professional players who are actually withdrawing money from the poker ecosystem. Bodog will not stop any such player from playing but Bodog want to reward affiliates who attract net depositing players more than today.

The solution is a new way of splitting the rake between the players which will affect all affiliates with rev share deals, as well as all future operators on Bodog Network. There are a number of articles describing this in more detail.

The new system will be in place before Bodog Network is launched at the end of the year.
