That other site isn't penalized imo. Just links have been devalued. If there is a penalty it's not banned. It's just a drop imo simply due to the fact that hundreds/thousands of links stopped coming.

if certain types of links are devalued, then it will have the same result.

and to touch on another topic in this thread, i think its very uncommon for a group of sites to receive a penalty.

The rakeback site is a drop in the bucket compared to the other site that is ranking for online poker, full tilt poker, tons of texas holdem queries, the list is a mile long. It has been ranking now for a few months, and the value of all of those rankings for a few months far exceeds the long term value of the site so it has undoubtedly been a highly profitable venture. There is also a site near the top of the "online casino" query that was sold here and has the same backlink profile. I've never seen blog comment spam work so well, and undoubtedly turn a monstrous profit for the owner.

I don't see google penalising sites for this ,if they did it is a good way to take your competition out!I have seen zenrakeback.com , easy way to handle this site is drop money into buying good links for the site .I am on vacation until Monday but may consider buying that site .

Save your money Judy - her other site that she spammed to the top of the SE's was penalized and hasn't come back yet. Buyer bought it and a month later it was totally gone. That was close to six months ago.

Dropped 50+ points overnight and hasn't been able to get off of page 6 ever since. Def not a penalty.

Cos the webmaster who bought the site didn't know what was involved in keeping it ranking. Also, if i owned that site i guarantee i could get it out of that spot within a few weeks by spending a few k and with no blackhat stuff involved.

The poker site Prenut is referencing is uber sick...

Its list of top3 rankings is so extensive it must pull in a fortune every month.

I personally do all white hat these days, and feel kind of pissed when a spammer has an unfair advantage.

But more power to them, if they can push their art to this point, let their sites rank for a few months.

The site sucks so they compensate for their inability to do anything right by finding loopholes in Google. Hopefully Google has this resolved shortly.

Site ranks 3rd for sportsbook poker for me lol such a joke, no idea why rooms even want associated with such crap sites.

Also page 1 for poker bonus, and another similar site which is prob this persons is also page 1 for the same term thanks to spam.

At least make a decent site if your going to go after those terms...
