Redirect or insert link

Hey

I have a site where i want to rank for "something".
I then have a site where i have and article on that is six months old and ranks 12th for "something".
Should i redirect this article to the main page of the site where i want to rank for "something" or put a link in the article pointing to the site when the keyword?
Note that this is a small outdated newspost im talking about.
