you got the point all depends on how to use them, if you want to achieve success you need to find balance between mass and quality link building or you can be an ignorant and hire a seo company.

You don't need "mass links", just a handful of high quality links.

You can also get low quality ones without spamming.

ist not so easy what you saying when your key words have 20 - 30 mln results and to appear on 1st site you need few thousands of indexed links, so you have to build 3-4 layers of links:

A profiles -> B 2.0 articles -> C parasite -> D Your content

LFE is a dangerous tool to use and the rest are iffy and so and so at best. The one tool that does help and gets you some good linkage in the long run if handled correctly is SENuke. Again the people here use mostly Whitehat and maybe some Greyhat and dare I say it maybe from time to time Bluehat and of course a little Greenhat from time to time.

A big problem with a lot of these tools is it is bad karma to use them. If other webmaster get spammed from your tools or see spammy backlinks they are far less likely to work with you. A lot of these tools will work in the short run but they are not a long term solution. I really like an analogy that MM used for these types of links - if you stop using them your ranking drops so the people using them are like drug addicts.
