    Default Strange thing

My site is ranking quite well for "reload bonus from full tilt", as I am aware there is no reload bonus on FT though (correct me if I am wrong). I wanted to do some optimization for this keyword on my site, but when I was checking analytics I noticed something strange.

    Visits - % of Site Total: 1.56%

Avg. Time on Site - 520.16% higher

    Pages/Visit - 13.27% higher

    0.00% % New Visits

I have visitors every day, some day more some less. I don't think there is a guy who on daily basis search this keyword and spent a lot of time on my site. I guess it should be some kind of program searching for something.

Do you guys have some ideas? Is it still good idea to optimize this key word at all?

it can be a search engine bot or spider, which im guessing would not be registered as a new visitor. however the stats aren't always accurate and it might just be some type of glitch with the persons computer or the search engine link to your site.

Also, there are ways to search for something and when the person visits your site they count as a visitor but they are registered as the search engine, therefore it looks like one person.

i think it is worth optimizing.

I doubt it's a bot, just some guy that found your site and is liking it I guess. This makes sense if you have a lot of content like I do and folks tend to come back several times. It doesn't seem like this KW would be worth working too much though based upon all this and you've got to always look at the opportunity cost of each KW, and there isn't always one but often you could be pushing something else instead.

This is a great keyword to target for network sites (like Titan Poker reload bonus). You can tell them there is no reload bonus, but that they can access the same games via another client

Well the thing is, I'm seeing 36 searches a month and I'm sure there's some potential to cross sell then on a different room or something else but in the case of this KW even getting all the clicks here isn't going to lead to much.

Some keyword terms are great for traffic but not so hot for converting depositing players. I've never found it efficient to rank for a term and then offer something different. If someone is searching for an offer (reload) from a specific room (Titan) and there is nothing to be found but alternative options then expect low conversions.

I agree with Greg for the most part in that your conversions will be extremely low when trying to sell someone on something other than what they were searching for. With that being said, if you are ranking for this naturally then there is no reason not to attempt to sell them on something else. It won't work very often, but if it works a couple of times that is better than nothing. I wouldn't put much effort into it other than a brief pitch to sell them on a cardroom.

I agree with both of you here, this stuff probably won't convert well but it might be worth a shot if you get a lot of traffic. I get a decent amount of free money players searching for "free poker" and similar terms and they are clicking on my site but tend not to go too far beyond the home page. I don't target these KW's at all but you always get some unintended searches and I'm fairly deep in the rankings but there's so many searches with these terms that quite a few go to page 5 or 6 or whatever. I'm guessing the conversion rate is pretty much zero but if I got enough of that kind of traffic you could get lucky once in awhile. This case isn't that bad as they are looking for bonuses at least and you could tell them sorry Titan doesn't have this but here's some sites which do and you get the initial deposit bonus as well. With this KW though once again I'm not seeing any kind of traffic here at all at least in terms of the Google KW tool so it really isn't going to matter.
