I still have only limited access to data for sites affected by Panda. Based on that extremely small sample, I haven't seen any sites improve. I am curious to see whether any sites DID improve.

sites like URLSPY, PRNEWSWIRE, & PRFIRE improved in some of the serps that seem affected
Thanks for the heads up. I'll have to take a look.

I may have seen huge results from this on my ski website with regards to long tails. It would be extremely hard to actually tell because a few major ski resorts also opened for skiing this past weekend, so Im sure this accounts for some of the increased traffic. I saw an instant increase of about 30%.
Strangely, my adsense CTR and revenue/click has dropped dramatically. I think this may have to do with the increased long tails for non-revenue earning terms. In other words, my traffic became dilluted with lower value traffic, so rates have dropped. Lots of non-poker discussion there so Ill leave it at that. Just happy to see things taking off.

Seasonal traffic spikes and dips can mask search algorithm changes (or they can mask the lack of the effect of such changes). As long as you're getting at least as much traffic as you were expecting to get, it's probably not worth the effort to try to account for the seasonality of the data. I would only try to do that for a site that is underperforming.

Interesting - I have an exact match room review dotcom. Zero link juice to it. In each Panda update it's gone right up and is now front page

I wouldn't be so quick to draw conclusions just yet. Actually it's pretty naive to think link profiles mean fk all in competitive markets. Do big brands and authority sites not have large link profiles? Do you not want to emulate these sites? Let's get freakin real now the SERPs are a fk mess at the moment. My bro who knows I "manipulate the results obv" says wtf is up with google these days? If a normal user says this you have to ask yourself is the big G getting it right. Also you are kinda showing your ignorance talking about link exchanges. They worked in like 2005.
Big brands are often considered "vital" to specific searches and thus are given priority in the serps for certain terms. For example, WalMart is surely considered "vital" to a search for WalMart or Wal Mart. Consequently, trying to emulate their backlink profile may not be effective in ranking for WalMart.
Agreed, SERPS are a mess at the moment.
