I know Google indexes and shows PR for PDF files.

My question is, are PDF files treated the same way as normal web pages.

Do the links in PDF files transfer PR and anchor text benefits?

Google has allowed links in PDF files to pass value for at least the past four-1/2 years. I did not test or notice any value-passing links in PDF files prior to the middle of 2007.
