I understand the concern about Google scraping people's data and using it to terminate search sessions. In my experience with the cinema listings, however, I have rarely accepted what Google told me as I usually click through to the theater Website to find out more information about the theater (location, number of screens, things they offer, etc.).
I still prefer to use Websites like MovieWatcher and Fandango for searching multiple theaters' listings anyway. Maybe I'm the log in the river but I don't think this one particular case is hurting many vendor Websites.
Google does seem to be extending the practice into many other verticals, however, and I am sure it hurts some of them more than others.
