I'm planning an extensive article about Googlebowling in the poker industry. If you've had any experience being Googlebowled (or in Googlebowling a competitor), I'd like to hear from you. Send me a private message or an email?

I have yet to see this technique work, although people keep assuring me it works in "certain queries" (and people also keep pointing out that Google says "there is almost no way anyone can hurt your site"). I would also be interested in hearing some anecdotes via PM, if anyone wants to share.
I'm not writing any articles but you never know.
Free advice and opinions are provided without any warranties or guarantees. I cannot do anything about the facts.
I could probably talk about some of this stuff because I've done a little testing with it. I am absolutely 100% sure that you can knock a new-ish domain right out of google without them being able to do anything about it.
Whether you can do it to, say, PokerNews.com is another story but I am pretty sure that it is not possible.
googlebowling? nice
Basically I think you submit links of your competitors to link farms and 'bad neighbours' and google then bans them.
That I think is the long and short of it.
Would be best if google simply didn't ban sites that link farm and instead simply didn't reward them either. This way google doesn't have to police anything and can simply reward webmasters for quality.
Again I'm new to this whole SEO bit so forgive me/correct me if I have over simplified this concept.
