Types of redirects? -Any kinds.

Hey guys,

I have been working with video based start up and one of their developers had a question about redirects. Of course he knows of meta refresh, 301, 302 but what he was hoping to find out is what are the other types.

For his experiment he is looking for any type redirect old or new even if it kills seo as its purely a test. I figured coming you guys would probably be the best bet for getting some ideas.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

There are only two kinds of redirects: a meta refresh (which is, technically, NOT a redirect but a secondary page load that is treated LIKE a redirect if the reload time is close to 0) and the fetch-response mechanism that returns some sort of status code with a new URL.

By that second definition, every resource a Web server sends back that is NOT the requested resource is a redirect regardless of the status code associated with it.
