    Default Site Review/ Hello all.

    Hi everyone,

I just got an invite from a good affiliate friend of mine over at GPWA. Thank you!
I have been working in this industry for about 1 year now.

My main site is http://www.getfreepokercash.com and it started as a free IB account for Titan and TonyG.

Then it grew, and now i have rakeback with PAS along with some other stuff.
Its a tad unorganized, as i am building a huge new site with 2 programmers along with other things.

I really would like some sound advice, on how i can make this site more search friendly. I am now working on it day and night.

In google for the search term "free poker cash" its number one. But i would like to have it good ranking for many other terms.

I have a lot to do, and feel a bit over whelmed right now on where to begin and would love some feedback.

I love this site and it seems that everyone is in this together, a great community, i simply love it.

I don't get it. It works fine for me. Thats odd. Maybe try again. I have a few new users today so I cant see how that could be possible, unless my host went down and i did not know about it.
Thanks for letting me know, i will contact my host right away and inform them

Hey Steve, welcome to the forums. I was checking out the site and it did load for me - although it was really show! I think there are some missing images or PHP errors occurring here to make this happen.

You probably dont need the Search bar at the top or the who's online feature. Thats some prime real estate and you might think about moving one of your best offers there (rakeback, comps).

Nice design though, very clean and easy to navigate.

    Greg,

Thank you so much mate. I needed that. I wanted to take away those things for a wile as there seems to be no use for them. I think your right. As well i cant figure out about those php errors. I load the page perfect. I wonder now.

I am working on it over the next few days with some new things, and working on a design for the logo.

This advice is great, thank you.

P.S. Just out of curiosity how do i check for these errors?

    Thanks for the support.

I agree with what Greg and everyone said. First thing I would do is move my best offers to the top and drop the "latest news" below that..

You also might think about toning down the red in the site. The whole site is red and white pretty much, and it all seems to blend together for me.. I'ma big fan of having your home page broke into sections:

    Top Offers
    News
    Etc

Obviously you can add various sections, but most traffic comes to a site looking for something specific, so don;t make them search for it.. If they are looking for free poker cash, make sure its easy to find and displayed well.

Hey Steve, I'm definitely not a PHP coder so when these issues come up for me it's usually outsource time. Wish i actually did know a little more code; I just use the Dreamweaver suggestions and fix each line manually when something comes up. Most times that you're using a template the errors are pretty easy to catch.

I saw this PHP tool on another forum and if you're familiar with some php language code it might be helpful. If not it's Free so no harm in trying it out! Good Luck mate and nice start so far! PHP Debugger

I have to scroll down to see the offers, which is likely going to lower potential conversions. So, I'd put the offers up higher, and the latest news lower down.

(I see others have said that too)

I also think that changing the horizonal navbar to a more contrasting colour would be a little more pleasing on the eye
Hold'em - like life itself - has its defining moment. It's the flop. When you see the flop, you're looking at 71 percent of your hand, and the cost is only a single round of betting

    Wow guys,

thanks so much its really wonderful the advice i have gotten so far. I agree actually with most of you actually no all of you. I will make the changes now.

I also noticed since making a few of the changes, the site is faster. That search box i agree was an eye sore. I just have to figure out now how to change the nav bar color.

The who is your right is not a good place, and i was thinking of moving the associations to the bottom. In those spots have top offers.

In regards to latest news. Do you think its wise to move it lower? I was told players like those.

I do agree i dont like the scroll down part. I think i will change it.

Man thanks for the tips, i will make all these improvements now. A long night is ahead for me.

    Thanks all.

Woah - that seems to have changed a lot from yesterday!

One quick question though ... are you using Joomla? I'm only asking as I noticed your URLs always use the index.php file.

Purely for SEO reasons, it would be pretty handy if you could change this.

    So:
    http://www.getfreepokercash.com/inde...y-G-Poker.html

    would change to:

    http://www.getfreepokercash.com/Tony-G-Poker.html
