Default Building Links in Foreign Languages

Does anyone have experience in building links in foreign languages? I really have no idea where to start. Here are a few ideas I've come up with so far:

    - Buy your way into Foreign Directories
    - Exchange links with other English-speaking webmasters who have Foreign pages
    - Interlink within your own site

Besides that I'm lost. I can't really email people to get links because I don't fluently speak (in this case) Spanish. Maybe someone could shed some light here?

I would hire a native speaker to do it for me, ideally someone in a slightly different niche, so there aren't a conflict of interest, while you can still piggyback on the work he has done for his own sites.

Whether this is a possibility obviously depends on the scale and scope of the site(s) and if you can find someone trustworthy, however, I think there could be a lot of benefits if you can find the right person.

    Hey Mike

Speak with Charles (Charlie Brown on PAL) Since this isnt a load of content it really wont add to much but what I did was create a new directory for each language that way only links in french will go on a french page. Than create a friendly personal email for the people you will be sending to and have Charles translate them for you. He does multiple languages...I think a dozen or so and hes super awesome. i think if the email is personal and not the standard I found your site in google its ok.

You can also look for someone who is willing to help you with this for a flat fee.
