Out of the two options above, which would you prefer to work with?

The choice is basically between:

A .com with a hyphen between the 2 keywords.
A .org with no hyphen between the 2 keywords.

The .com without the hyphen has already been taken, so which would you go for. The site isn't going to be a huge one, so there won't be much in the way of branding issues.

If its something like

OnlinePoker-OnlinePoker.com or OnlinePokerOnlinePoker.org

I think the hyphen might be better seo wise but I'm not sure so my post is basicly useless

Yep, that's the ticket.

I was swung toward .org at first. I don't know how much there is in it SEO-wise, but I was going to go for .org unless someone could persuade me otherwise.

I have been in these situations myself and i have always gone with the .org instead of the .com with hyphen.

The .org with no hyphen will benefit from an exact match boost and the .com with a hyphen will not. I have tested this and am 100% convinced the .org with no hyphen is better.

(As a side note, Randy Ray told me this was the case before I tested and like always I could have saved myself a bunch of time if I had just listened.)

I should have added that I have several .org's that out rank the .com's - Not by buying links, but form regular ranking etc. I've tested both quite a but, .org's have always done great for me.
