Default SEO site review - Please help.

    Hi guys

I have been working on my site for a little while now and as far as SEO is concerned I'm not doing too well with regards to google.

here are the key word/phrases that I want to rank well for with my current google and yahoo place:

Free poker training videos: - Google-Rank 32 Yahoo- Rank 5
Free poker videos: Google - rank 0 Yahoo - rank 21
Free poker training: google - rank 0 Yahoo - rank 11

Now a lot of my links are not pointing to my main (front page) but an internal page that I feel is better suited to those key terms.

So I'm going to post the link here to my internal page that I'm trying to get ranked for so that you guys can hopefully give me some feedback on where to improve. Free Poker Training Videos

Also do you think that anchor text like free poker training videos will also help my rankings for the other two terms as it contains that same words? or would I be better off breaking them up?

I would really appriciate any help no matter how harsh because I feel that this is as far as I can go without input from you guys.

I'm also speaking with a few people to buy links on higher PR sites than mine (not hard as it's still 0) but before I commit to anything, I wanted to post this first.

Any other SEO input regarding the site/page for these terms will also be taken on board and for anyone that has helped with previous posts will know, I just get stuck straight in.

    Thanks again

The thing that sticks out the most is your url structure, you have some of them like this:

    xxx.com/pages/whatever.html

I think you should consider changing the "pages" to something a bit more SE friendly and gain yourself a keyword and make them more descriptive to your users.

Ohter than that its really not bad, I think you need to consider moving it off the PAS server and using a PAS sub-domain simply to give yourself more control over your website and not be confined to their CMS, which even though its a good one it does have its limits.

I do like to see all the content and videos you have up, nice work!

If you are looking for some extra money or need some quality links, I need some videos for my sites - Hit me up if you are interested.

hey randy thanks for the quick response, I've Pm'd you about maybe making you some videos.

I think the /pages/ part of the url is to do with the CMS system on PAS. to be fair the guys there pratically built the site for me as I know next to nothing about web design (if you haden't guessed from previous posts).

So back to my lack of ranking for these key terms. I believe that these are pretty niche terms without too much competition (unlike terms like rakeback) so I am trying to figure out why I am not ontop of Google or in some cases, even existing.

Would you say it may be a lack of high PR back links? and also does it matter that I am trying to get an internal page to rank well?

/pages/ is indeed part of PAS's CMS.

On a page like this one: Hand History Review coaching

I would link back to the page where you are targeting "free poker training videos" and related terms.

Take a look at how Wikipedia articles are interlinked.

Thanks Unknown, I've done that and is clearly a lot more links.

Now is it just a case of high PR back links now in order to get up on Google?

I'm just wanting to know the real value of paid for links in regards to a direct result in appearing in Google if I have done all the SEO that I can on my actual site?

    Thanks

I think you would be wasting your money by buying links. Not that it can't work, I just think that you will gain much more by using the time/money on creating content - Or you could just create content for others in return for links.

I don't agree. His site looks ok, the only thing that differs him from his opponents is the links. Use "free poker training videos" as one then you link.

Try repeating your keyword phrase more often on the page. You only use the phrase twice in the body of your copy.

On your homepage, you have a prominent link to the page using anchor text of "free poker videos". If you want to rank for "free poker training videos", then use that as your anchor text.

    Update:

    Before -

    Free poker training videos: - Google-Rank 32
Free poker videos: Google - rank 0
Free poker training: google - rank 0

    Now -

    Free poker training videos: - Google-Rank 8
Free poker videos: Google - rank 75
Free poker training: google - rank 8

Slowly, slowly catch that monkey.. lol
