The title kind of says it all. I have to say that I now hate SEO more than anything else. More than having a route canal, more than paying taxes and more than sucking my own eye balls out with a straw.
You see I just don't get it. I have over a 100 page website, I have 'SEO'd' the pages, keep adding content, blog about the site, have links in forums that I participate in, comment on others blogs, auto signatures, am in directories, particpate in link exchanges, etc, etc.
After all of this I have a PR of 0 on every single page, I keep tweeking the site, getting all ready for Google updates just to find out that it was all for nothing.
The funny thing is that I rank on the first page of Google for some of my search terms now which is great and I'm getting thousands of people visit the site a month which is also amazing. So my question is this, can you become an authority site, ranking highly for many terms yet never have a PR above 0??
What difference does it actually make to have a PR? I'm starting to not only question how you go about getting a better PR but I'm starting to question the relivance of a PR full stop.
What difference will I see if my site ended up as a PR 2 compared to how it stands now at PR0?
Granted this seems like more of a rant than anything else but undernieth the frustration lay genuine questions.
