wordpress site google indexed

Hi,

I started my first wordpress site.

the question is how to get pages (not posts) in wordpress to get indexed fast in Google?

The natural way to add content is to use a post, but one can also create "pages". Page are static content, and they may make more sense than posts for site reviews, or strategy articles, right?

Anyway the question is that blog posts seems to get indexed in Google very fast. I suppose this is dues to the auto-pinging feature.

BUT, my pages do not get indexed (yet). But I linked to them, and I also created a sitemap.

So the question is how to get pages (not posts) in wordpress to get indexed fast in Google?

Well it depends really on how long you've been waiting, and where you linked to it from. An alternative route would be to link from a post to the page you want indexed...although normally it appears than disappears for a day or so but recovers.

Waiting for one week. I know it is not that long, but the thing is my posts are indexed nearly instantly, but I want the pages, not the posts to be reached.

I have linked to these pages from my posts. Also I have one page listing and linking to all these pages, and that one page is present sitewide.

Basically spiders will have no problem finding them, especially as I checked my sitemap and it is fine, so it seems I missed something.

Include them in your RSS feed and then submit your feed to a couple of RSS directories - that usually gets my pages indexed pretty fast :-)

How do you include pages in rss feed in wordpress? is there something specific to do? posts are naturally in the feed, what about pages?

so a few of these pages have been indexed in the past hour.

Just write a blog post that links to the static pages.
