It will be interesting to see of bloggers will continue to leave the ability for a URL listing for people who comment on posts. Seeing as it now further dilutes the link juice out even if you "no follow" blog comment URLs
Thoughts?

I nofollow comments because I think it gives me less spamSomeone here pointed out that I should allow anyone to post and not have to signin and once I opened that up I was once again flooded with spam. So thats my reason for it. People who notice that the posts are nofollowed are less likely to commment with junk. Other than that I wouldnt care so much

yes, but what Matt Cutts is saying is that those "no followed" links on blog comments are integral in the equation related to link juice flowing out of a page.
For example, if you had a page and it had 5 links going out, the link juice going out on each link would be 1/5.
if you had 10 links on a page and 5 of those are "no followed" blog comment URLs, the link juice going out on each link would be 1/10 as opposed to 1/5 for the non "no followed links". Essentially diluting the link juice for the 5 non "no followed" links.
Hope that makes sense. I just thought that would affect some people's outlook on blog comment URL's.

Don't be so quick to assume that comment links on blogs will be treated the same way as links embedded in main page copy. Google knows very well how to distinguish between comments and post copy.
Matt is not telling the full story. He's just sort of bitch-slapping the SEO industry for preaching extremely bad advice that among other possible reasons may have caused serious issues with some of the "brand" Web sites Google is striving to favor in its search results.
PageRank sculpting has always been a stupid idea because you cannot track and measure it. Google updates its PageRank calculations very often. Most people think the toolbar PR values have some meaning or significance but they are only derivative values (influenced by non-link data as well as actual internal PageRank) and Google only updates the toolbar PR values a few times a year.
The best thing you can do is stay away from attempting to sculpt PageRank. Don't use "rel='nofollow'" on any of your internal links, but do continue to nofollow comment links.
Be aware that there are so-called SEOs who publish lists of "dofollow" blogs that allow PageRank (and anchor text) to flow through links in their comments. These idiots and their link-spammy friends clutter up those blogs with tons of link-drops.
You do NOT want your own blogs to be included in those lists. It's not going to hurt your search engine rankings to continue using "nofollow" for user-generated links.
