    Default weird listings in google

I've done some "experimenting" on my website recently, which I was appropriately rewarded with my search rankings tanking. Anyway, fast forward a bit...

Some of my pages are now being re-included in the search results, only this time my description seems to be ignored on a few of my pages. Instead, google lists my h2 tags in the description. For example, one page that contains an abundance of poker room bonus info has the second h2 tag's text, followed by 4 other h2 or h3 tag text.

Anyone else noticing anything similar or just straight up weird about their search listings for a given page or site?

Yeah, im seeing this weird behaviour too. last week descriptions were showing but now a little bit of a description and the intro piece on the page are appearing.
Buying all kinds of sites - poker/casino/sports/non gaming. Large budget. PM me with what you've got.

If descriptions are too short, extra stuff gets thrown in. If a search query is extra long, you are likely to get a long ransom note with all the words highlighted inbstead of just the simple description.

their algo changes often and many variables are weighted. the most important thing to consider is how much targeted traffic are you getting and is it converting.

I also noticed this weird listings at my site. But I do not think that this is my fault. It's all about the BIG G. maybe they have a new way or process in this case. Let watch out for this stuff.

I haven't changed anything description-wise at all in the meta tags either. The description is of average acceptable size, and not spammy in nature - well, not too spammy at least.

The listings you describe have the characteristics of "partial listings", usually meaning Google has not finished updating its information about your sites. Usually the listings become full or more robust within a week or two.

If the listings persist for more than 2 weeks, you should review your code to make sure you don't have a bad character that blocks the crawler from seeing part of your content.

Of course, you could do that now and if the problem is there you'll fix it two weeks sooner.

Everybody has been experiencing weird listings recently. I had a site go from position 40 to over 300. There must have been some sort of fault at google recently.
