    Default Google Crawl Errors

I can't seem to figure out why I am getting a bunch of crawl errors in google webmaster tools, all along the lines of: xxhttp://www.mydomain.org/articles/games/www.mydomain.org/

I am getting that for all my pages and have never linked to those pages (just launched the site a few weeks ago). The actual pages such as xxhttp://www.mydomain.org/articles/games/ index with no problems and I double checked that my sitemap and internal linking link to the correct URLs.

Has anyone seen this before or have any idea what this is?

Are you linking to your homepage from the footer navigation (or any navigation for that matter)?

You may have linked to the homepage without the "http://" and linked straight to the "www.mydomain.org", which would explain why you're getting that error.

Quite often you can put the "http" part in to a link but either accidentally drop the colon or one of the slashes.

One missing or extra character has often been the undoing of many an otherwise well-done Web site.

Jeremy if you didn't see my Skype message, it is your header that's causing the problem. Like Michael said, you link to http:www.yoursite.com instead of http://www.yoursite.com.
